I am an Outlander junkie. I admit it. I know what my mother's family crest looks like, and the Fraser crest on the journal is just fine. I like the elastic that comes from the top rear, over the top, down the front, under the bottom, and secures in the lower back. It keeps my fountain pen in it, and it has a spine ribbon to serve as your place marker.I use this journal much more frequently than ones I've had before. I don't know why this is, exactly. But I do, and it's a good, mind-settling part of going to bed. If something from the day is on my mind, I can enter it into my journal. Even if I have not solved anything, I've done SOMETHING about it, and can lay in bed without worrying about it, and go to sleep.It's very well made, I like the roughly college-rule distance of the lines - I use my fountain pen, and I write small. Now it's just one of my creature comforts, with my worries, thoughts, and dreams inside. You cannot lock it. Fortunately, my husband and I have mutual respect for each other, and I don't worry about him reading it. If you have someone nosy around, buy a small lock-box and keep your Outlander journal in there.
