If you look at the first pages of this $7.99 you will find that the Introduction: "The Lost Klee Wyck" by Kathryn Bridge that is included in the $11.99 version is not included in the $7.99 version. In the course of her work as as an archivist at the British Columbia Archives which hold Emily Carr's papers, Kathryn Bridge discovered that "the Klee Wyck that has become a classic is not the Klee Wyck that was originally published." Specifically what Ms. Bridge learned was that the words and sentences Emily Carr had carefully hone "were a few years after her death in 1945, expurgated by a new publisher, who did not inform the reading public of this action." Emily Carr has been criticized for daily adequately to defend the culture and beliefs of the first people's. Another writer said that her critics should go back and read her original words. This should be of great importance to anyone who is truly interested in discovering the truth of this great artist and lover of the native people's, their culture and their unspoiled habitat. I have also discovered that there is only one Kindle version of this book and it is not the version as that was originally written and published by Emily Carr.
