It is very well written book. Particularly for beginning and striving photographers. Mr. Judge, gives the reader a broad perspective of technical information , coupled with equipment and software recommendations. By the time you finish this book , there is a good understanding of how to begin, what goals to have in mind, and professional expectations . The book is very easy to understand and is very motivative. Mr. Judge includes his own experiences, and discusses the challenges. Since photography has so many variables in equipment as well as software considerations , Mr Judge, gives you a broad background on what you need to get started , as well as cost considerations. He gives advise along with options , making you aware of the pros and cons. As a novice , I have become more excited about seriously pursuing this as a great hobby. This is my second book of Mr. Judge and will pursue to read the others. Best Wishes.
